Converting to a Standard 4.0 Scale
Since 4.3 is only slightly above 4.0, the conversion is straightforward: any grade point above 4.0 (i.e. an A+) is simply capped at 4.0 for comparison purposes. A B+ at 3.3 stays 3.3 either way — only the very top band changes.
In practice, this means a Queen’s GPA of 4.0-4.3 all reads as “4.0” on a standard scale — the 4.3 scale simply gives extra internal recognition to a perfect A+ average without changing how it’s interpreted externally.
